Reunification of Africa and the Diaspora with its peoples of african descent
Forum Social Mondial 2011 – Dakar (Sénégal)
Du 6 au 11 Février
Assemblée de Convergence pour l'Action
10 Février
We, gathered in Dakar at the World Social Forum, forge common struggles and collective agenda to fight against neoliberalism. capitalism and imperaliasm. One of the consequencies is the increase of racism and its new forms of discrimination. We are alarmed over the upsurge of racism and xenophobia in many countries imposed by the rules of neoliberalism and as a result of failure to address root causes and institutionalised racism. We condemn the refusal by the perpetrating and benefitting countries to apologize and provide reparations to the continent of Africa and the Diaspora for the damages caused by the transatlantic slave trade and colonialism resulting in a continued legacy of underdevelopment and discrimination.
We call for a worldwide week of action and campaign for people of African descent and all victims of racism and xenophobia asking for recognition, justice and development. We call to the all altermondialists and all other peoples to demonstrate during the 10 anniversary of Durban 2001, between september 17 and 20th, in New York, where will be held the 4th conference against racism, discrimination, xenophobia and all associated forms.
We urge the all the states to implement, apply and respect the final declaration and program of action issued at the end of Durban 2001 conference. Let's aware and stand up against all forms de racism, discrimination and xenophobia.
